Our Story…

Culture is more than just beer. Culture is an idea. An idea that we are not all that different from each other and that art, community spaces, and yes… beer too can bring us together. That is why Culture embodies the ethos of the neighborhoods we call home through monthly art shows featuring local artists, fundraisers, and community events. But also by brewing beer styles that anyone from beer-novice to beer-nerd can enjoy.

Operations

Favorite Beer: Wildflower IPA

Former breakdancer, a one time symphony conductor, a mean yoga instructor, and a hop farmer's daughter. Being a wearer of many hats and jack of all trades, it was only natural to be the leader of excellence and culture, a number cruncher, and the day to day operator. When I am not at Culture rallying the troops, you can find me traveling the world, on a quest to grow my serious childhood sticker collection, or dancing through my day.

Favorite Beer: RYE S.I.P.A Originally from Chicago, I have been in the service industry since I was old enough to work. With over 10 years experience, my passion for this Craft is only outweighed by my unique opportunity to positively impact people's lives through beer. When I am not planning events, you can find me knitting, cross stitching, tending to my plants, and soaking up as much of California as possible.

Brew Team

Favorite beer: American Pilsner After graduating college, I figured the best way to utilize my B.S. in biochemistry in a way that would make me truly happy was to become a brewer and I am fortunate to have been doing it professionally for 4 years now. For those of you who were curious, the key to making good beer is patience, hard work, creativity and singing along to 90's songs at the top of your lungs in the brewery with your team. Oooweeee!

Favorite beer: Mosaic IPA I first started home brewing in college and haven't stopped since. My first professional brewing job was in Albuquerque, New Mexico but then I decided to move to San Diego where I could grow as a brewer in the craft beer capital. When I'm not brewing beer, I try to take advantage of California's beautiful landscape by camping, hiking and trying out my new photography skills.
